- Real Sotogrande Golf club was founded in 1964 by Joseph McMicking who asked the most prestigious designer of the time Robert Trent Jones to design the Golf course.
- It was the first course in Europe to be seeded with Bermuda 419 and the first to have an automatic irrigation system.
- The Real Sotogrande Golf club course has a par of 72 and measures 6.304 metres in length.
- This beautiful course offers great challenges for better players, however still manageable and fun for everyone.

- Valderrama Golf Club, namely the Real Club Valderrama is located in Sotogrande and is one of most well-known golf clubs in Europe.
- It was designed by Robert Trent Jones and constructed in 1974 and prides itself as being one of if not the best golf clubs in Sotogrande.
- In November 2002 it was the host to Volvo Masters Andalucia and holds the ranking of number 1 in Golf World.
- Valderrama Golf club is a private members club, with limited starting time for visitors between 12:00 – 14:00 and visitors can only play twice per month and no more than 7 times per year.

- Almenara was created by famous British designer Davie Thomas and opened in 1998.
- It offers an extensive practice and teaching facility.
- Almenara Golf Club is surrounded by mountains and has beautiful views of the Mediterranean with a sunny climate that makes it possible to play all year round.

- What started as a farming community, the locals found their love for the sport once they started to become greenkeepers for Sotogrande, they decided to build a little 9 course on the mountainside.
- Major improvement happened when the municipality donated a parcel of land and then arranged for Robert Trent to design a nine hole golf course.
- 10 years later an additional nine-hole course was added designed by Dave Thomas.

- Considered a beautiful gem, this course is a little less well known than its popular neighbours Sotogrande and Valderrama, however can stand up on its own with the beautiful lush course nestled in the mountains and stunning sea views.
